My Weekly Favourites

And here they are, my six weekly favourites. This week I'm loving these products some because they are a go to product and others because its something new I've tried and have really enjoyed the product.

We have Sally Hansen's Miracle Cure, the reason I love this product and I literally love this product is because it does exactly what it says on the packet. It helps build strength in nails keeping them strong, enabling them to grow. I have recommended this product to so many people and they have all in turn said what a fab product this is.

Next we have OPI's My Favourite Ornament from the Mariah Carey Collection. Every girl loves sparkle and nail polish combine the two and you have the perfect product. Plus its also allowing me to sneak in a bit of Christmas glitz and looks amazing paired with OPI's Visions Of Love.

I do rave on about Kiko but its because its such an amazing brand. Their products are affordable yet bang on trend and this french white tip pen is needless to say one of my favourite products from them. It's so easy to use and creates a flawless french manicure in minutes without the fuss of brushes and it dries super quick.

Vaseline Coco Radiant Body Butter is something I always keep around just because it works wonders on skin (and doesn't bring me out in a rash after shaving!) and leaves my skin soft and smooth. It's a classic product but undoubtedly a favourite.

I'm also loving Helen E's waterproof lipliner (sadly the shade isn't written on it). It's a really nice nude/ brown colour and blends really well with a range of my lipsticks in a similar shade, it also helps stop the lipstick colour from bleeding, so for this reason its on my list of favourites.

Last but not least Garnier's Moisture Match for dry to very dry skin. The mixture of cold outside and heating blaring inside is not a good combination for my skin which seems to be drying out but this product is fab to help prevent dryness. It's ultra-rich and hydrating leaving my skin feeling nourished and moisturised. So if you're having winter dry skin problems this is definitely a product to try.

Samaritans Operation Blogger

I thought now would be an appropriate time to do this particularly with Christmas quickly creeping upon us. Around this time of year I like to think about how to do things for others that are less fortunate than myself. One of my favourite ways to help out and give back since I was child at school has to be Operation Christmas Child. Anyone can do it, not just us bloggers (although there is an emphasis on bloggers this year jumping on board to help promote it). This year is the Samaritans 20th year of running the programme and they have brought joy to thousands of children who have been able to open a box full of wonders. These boxes go to children in orphanages and refugee camps across the world giving children gifts they would never normally have dreamed to receive. So how can you get involved?

Step 1: Find a shoebox- wrap the lid and box separately in wrapping paper.
Step 2: Choose whether your box will be for a boy or girl and then the relevant age group (2-4, 5-9, 10-14) you can download your girl/ boy sticker from the website here.
Step 3: Fill your box with gifts recommended below: (It's recommended you choose something from each of the four categories)

Other Items: Sweets (sell-by date to be at least March of the following year), gloves, scarf, sunglasses, cap, hat, bangles, necklaces etc.

All gifts should be new, please include items from each category.

No Thanks!

No liquids - including blow bubbles, shampoo, bubble bath, toiletry sets or aerosols
No dangerous items - sharp objects, scissors or razors

Nothing of a political

Step 4: Make your donation, it's recommended to include £3 per box to cover shipping costs, plus if you donate online you can track where your box ends up!
Step 5: Secure with a rubber band. Drop off your shoebox to the nearest drop off point between November 1st to November 18th. Click here to find your local drop off point.
That's a brief overview of the cause but if you'd like to know more check out their website http://operationchristmaschild.org.uk/ it has plenty of useful information and even some of the stories from children receiving the boxes, just to give you a glimpse of what they mean to the child. I'm going to get organising with mine but will post up pictures of my box and what I include so keep checking back!

Hair Heros

Today I'd like to talk about Hair Hero's, my favourite hair products that I like to use on regular basis or when my hair needs a boost. And here they are:

From left to right we have:
Toni & Guy Shine Gloss Serum - I love using this product on my stubborn fringe. It never wants to sit flat and has a tendency to go a frizzy but not with this product! Bye bye frizz hello straight, smooth fringe. You literally pump some of the serum onto your hands and rub through damp hair and blow dry. You can put this through all of your hair but I only do my fringe as the rest seems to behave itself, most of the time anyway. Available from any local drugstore.

It's A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product- This product is great as an all round product. Again you rub a small amount into your damp hair and blow dry and style as normal. I find this product great when my hair is feeling a little dry as it puts the moisture back in and makes it much easier to manage. You can get this product in any Beauty retailer and in some Boots stores.

Andrew Barton Maximum Heat Protection Spray- A recent discovery but I have very quickly fallen in love with this product mostly because it smells amazing almost like holidays and with winter approaching who doesn't want their hair to smell like holidays? This is a great every day product to help prevent damage from heat appliances. Apply before blow drying for best results. Available from Asda stores.

Avon Lotus Shield Argan Oil- if you have hair that has a tendency to stick up at the ends after blow drying this is the perfect product for you. It smooths and straightens hair making it easier to manage and on occasions I've found if I blow dry my hair right it doesn't even need straightening with this product. Apply some of the oil to your hands and rub between them and then run the oil through the ends of your hair before blow drying. I personally wouldn't apply this to the whole of my hair as I found when put on the roots it makes the hair look a little greasy once it has dried. you can order online from http://avonshop.co.uk.

Batiste Dry Shampoo- the perfect tool for busy women, if you're in a hurry and have no time to wash your hair but feel like it could do with refreshing this product is definitely for you. Spray onto the root and brush through, careful not to over spray as it can leave you with a grey tinge if you're not careful. It brings the bounce back to your hair, making it feel like its just been washed. Available from most supermarkets and drugstores.

Aussie Miracle Moist Conditioner- Aussie hair products are amazing, they smell great and always leave my hair feeling soft and shiny. I use both the shampoo and conditioner together for the best results, leaving the conditioner on for slightly longer so it can work its magic on my hair. They do a variety of types of shampoo and conditioner to suit all hair types and are perfect for dry, damaged hair. Available from most supermarkets.

So there you go my go to hair hero's. Do you have any hair hero products? Have you tried any of the above? Let me know your thoughts! :)

NBN Workshop

I was lucky enough to get invited to the Next Blogger Network Workshop yesterday at the amazing venue of Hoxton Hotel. After a treacherous journey (in that horrible weather yesterday) and four hours later I safely arrived at the event slightly dubious and uncertain of what to expect. Firstly I received a goodie bad full of some amazing Next goodies...

We got the NBN bag itself complete with a lovely cream hardback notebook and pen. As well as this there was also the Christmas gift guide from Next (which may I add had some lovely future purchases !) as well as the wonderfully scented Tigerlily and Jasmine candle, Next photo frame, and the softest, thickest pair of fur trimmed socks- particularly useful now the colder weather is looking closer.

Throughout the day we attended three workshops: SEO and Web Design; Brand and Advertising and Photography a Film. It was such an eye-opening event and I can honestly say that I learnt so much and got to meet some amazing people such as Lily from Lily Pebbles (http://www.lilypebbles.co.uk) and Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup (http://www.viviannadoesmakeup.com). They are the two most loveliest girls ever and really inspired me, plus I was lucky enough to get a photo with the two of them.

I also wanted to add about how amazing the PR team were at Next and how well organised the event as a whole was. The Hoxton Hotel was gorgeous and had an amazing spread for lunch and afternoon tea as well as giving each blogger their very own NBN cookie.

I have so many new things in store for this blog which I can't wait to share with you all, keep an eye out for the Pinterest and Instagram links and don't forget to follow and like Bella La Moda on Twitter and Facebook. For any new bloggers this a definite must attend event ass it provides you with some of the basic and crucial information for blogging. Till next time :)
